Birla Carbon Releases its 2026 Sustainability Report ‘Sustainable – Work in Progress’

 Birla Carbon, one of the world’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of high-quality carbon materials, today announced its 14^th annual Sustainability Report, titled ‘Sustainable – Work in Progress.’ The report reflects Birla Carbon’s continued progress on its ‘Share the Future’ sustainability strategy and its vision to ‘be the clear leader in the industry’.

Sharing his thoughts on the report, John Loudermilk, President and Chief Executive Officer, Birla Carbon, said, “The transition to a more sustainable future will require our industry to continually rethink how we operate, innovate, and collaborate across the value chain. • Birla Carbon earned an EcoVadis Platinum rating, placing it in the top 1% of more than 150,000 companies assessed globally
• The company achieved the highest possible score for a privately disclosing company, receiving a B in both Climate and Water from CDP
• Continua™ SCM reached industrial scale at Birla Carbon’s facilities in Europe and Asia, enabling broader access to circular material solutions across regions, supported by consistent quality, quantified carbon footprint reduction, and a strong global supply network
• Birla Carbon’s supplier due diligence program now covers all 18,171 active vendors, with continuous screening through the NAVEX RiskRate® platform and no labor incidents identified to date
